CDA Quality Aged Wood

Oct. 25, 2023

After recognizing the challenges around sourcing quality reclaimed wood, Founder and CEO Chris Bartimioli developed a patented, non-toxic finishing process to create aged wood that is durable, affordable, and chemical-free. CDA Wood exposes raw lumber to the natural elements of sun, soil, water, and wind, rather than VOCs, lead paint, stains, or treatments. CDA Wood has proven to be less toxic than wood that has not gone through this process due to the utilization of UV-C light and has been proven to improve indoor air quality. The product has also earned certification from the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) and National Green Building Standard (NGBS). To reduce its overall environmental impact and waste, CDA Wood practices sustainable forestry, planting four trees for every tree used, while all wood scraps are sold to major retailers for repurposed use. Wood can now be responsibly manufactured to better serve architects and designers looking to source quality aged wood in a more efficient and sustainable way.
