Put Lighting on the Writing Surfaces

Powel SLAMS is lit for high visual acuity. “We have to treat the room more evenly,” said Michael Barber, IALD, LEED AP BD+C, Principal, The Lighting Practice. With projectors, smart boards, and other tech tools located throughout the learning spaces, minimizing glare and reflection was a priority in the classrooms.

The lighting practice selected the HP-4 Direct linear luminaire for several spaces throughout the school. With a 4’’ aperture, HP-4 D is available as individual fixtures in 2’ minimum sections, or as a continuous run down to 1/16”. This luminaire offers complete design freedom with tailored angles, tailored configurations, and a variety of downlight options.
