Lighted Blades

It is now possible to integrate LED lighting into nearly any extrusion, including standard airfoils, tubes, and a new demi-fin. The impact of Lighted Blades is four-fold: it increases energy efficiency within the building through sun shading. It decreases energy usage with LEDs. It provides greater safety through better lighting after dark, and it creates a dynamic facade.

"This product advancement elevates the product to an extended purpose that can create a knockout effect on the building. While the base system is not new, the addition of engineered, LED-illuminated aluminum blades does offer a meaningful design enhancement by combining shading, nighttime visibility, and architectural expression in a single manufactured assembly. This is a subtle but legitimate innovation."
