Bluegrass Quartzite Tile

April 10, 2024

Bluegrass is a polished quartzite from a bedrock quarry in Brazil. This stone offers a plethora of rich organic colors such as the predominately green color, which comes from the mineral Fuchsite as well as cream, red, pink, purple, orange, gold, brown, and black. During the polishing process, an epoxy resin is applied to the surface of the stone to fill in any natural pits, cracks or fissures that may exist. Due to the qualities of the stone, the slabs are book-matched; meaning slab one and slab two will be cut and polished to create a mirror image of each other.
